The Heidelberg architects' association regularly tries to call the public's attention to parts of town which are lesser known or noticed; like places at the periphery, underground places…. This is done by enhancing the locations' importance for a short time through light- and sound- installations, dance and other artistic presentations, and then let them go back to their everyday purpose.
At one of these actions at a small downtown park a group of seven
stone giants, all from Namibian material, had been presented in a grouping determined by me.
Would it work: calm and contemplative stone sculptures at such a temporary racket?
Numerous visitors perceived them as a pleasant contrast.
